Suzy & Conner Married!

Suzy and Conner were married on June 2, 2012 at Munholland United Methodist Church in Metairie. A good bit of the day was like deja vu for me, as I photographed her sister’s wedding back in December of 2009. Suzy’s bridal prep took place in the same exact suite of the International Hotel and she got dressed in the same bridal suite as well. From there we headed over to Munholland in Metairie for their First Look. The lighting in front of the church, where we shot her sister’s first look, wasn’t all that great when we arrived but we got lucky as the small park area was dry, unlike her sister’s wedding day when it had rained the day before. This gave us the opportunity to give Suzy and Conner a different look than what they had seen back in 2009. After the ceremony it was off to the reception at Pat O’s on the River to rock out with the Top Cats! Everyone had a great time and I was introduced to the tradition of a big family “shot” (of alcohol, that is) that was started at her sister’s wedding and has continued ever since, and it made for a pretty fun photo. Suzy & Conner had a bubbly departure after another successful Weller wedding, as she became a Mansfield. I’ve really enjoyed working with the Weller family over the last couple years, as they truly are the sweetest people you could imagine. Thank you so much for trusting me with the most special events in your daughter’s lives, and I wish Suzy & Conner all the best in the future!
