Christy & Lorenzo – Married!

Christy and Lorenzo were married on June 11th at the French Quarter W Hotel.  For the ladies the day started at the W Hotel on Poydras street in one of the suites.  It was a family affair as many of the girls involved were in fact family, as well as a few friends.  The atmosphere in the room was light and fun.  Time started to escape us quickly though as the prep time ran a bit behind schedule, but we certainly didn’t let that stop us from getting some beautiful photos of Christy.  She looked abosolutely stunning in her shapely gown, and bird cage veil — and she was also rocking the Sex and the City Manolo Blahniks!!

Once the limo arrived it whisked her off to the French Quarter W for her to marry her suave groom.  Lorenzo has such a great, laid back, cool personality.  He always looks really sharp, and the wedding day of course was no exception.  The guys were sporting some gray Chucks for a touch of style and comfort.  The ceremony was lovely with the wedding party at the top of the stairs, and the guests looking on from the courtyard below.  Lorenzo even got a bit choked up during the ceremony — that always gets me when the guys get emotional.  After the I Do’s and the hopping of the broom, it was party time from there out.  The couple kicked off the evening with a second line led by the brass band and a Mardi Gras Indian.  What a wonderful New Orleans site to see!!  It was so much fun!  Unfortunately, Christy’s feet didn’t make it in the Manolo’s to the end of the second line, but that didn’t slow her down one bit — she kicked off the heels and kept right on dancing down the street.  That’s my kind of bride!!

The reception went well too, it just went to fast.  And it began to rain when there was still an hour left.  This pushed everyone inside and some left early due to the weather.  But in the end, it allowed for a few more photos of Christy and Lorenzo — we were able to get creative and do some moody, dramatic stuff with them, that I think they are really going to love.  So we made the most of the time they had left, and they’ll have some amazing shots to look back on.  Thanks for letting me be a part of your day, you guys were awesome!!  Enjoy!
