CATHERINE IN THE BIG EASY
Arte by CheyAnne & Doug
Wow!! Talk about a great, fun-tastic afternoon!! I adopted Catherine as my little sister when we used to work together in the summers. She has the cutest, sweetest, fun-loving spirit. We’ve kept in touch and we still get together for girl’s nights. A couple of weeks ago we decided to play around and just shoot some really fun, funky, edgy, beautiful pictures. Doug and I had a blast shooting around each other. We were both shooting with the same light, yet both getting completely different results. That was the even more thrilling part. He was going dark and moody, I was letting the light go bright and crazy. We were like kids in a candy store. I wish we’d have started an hour sooner because we definitely could have kept going. We also got a few shots with her boyfriend as well. I love the one of them by the car. It looks like it could be the poster for some Bonnie and Clyde movie. Thanks again for letting us play around. I’m looking forward to bringing some of this funky to my upcoming shoots.
SAVANNA’S ELIZABETHTOWN SENIOR SESSION
Arte by CheyAnne & Doug
It’s hard to believe Savanna is already a senior! Her mom has worked with my mom (CheyAnne’s mom) for about ten years or maybe even longer. So I’ve always heard stories about Savanna. And she’s even thought she might want to be a photographer someday. I’ve been told she kinda even looked up to me a bit — really cool! Well, several years ago when I was back in Kentucky for about 6 months I was substitute teaching and I had Savanna in my classes several times as an eighth grader. Even then I couldn’t believe how old she was getting, and now she’s this beautiful senior!! It makes me feel old! Well, of course since my mom and her mom still work together, her mom, Laurie, was hoping that we’d be able to take her senior photos when we were in Kentucky in August. I told her we’d love to! It was a lot of fun for us — we love getting to just play around. We love weddings, but you generally are on more of a time crunch, and the pressures surrounding a wedding are a bit more intense. :) Thanks Savanna and Laurie for letting us capture this time in your life. Hopefully someday we can photograph your wedding too! But absolutely NO RUSH there! LOL.
