Where does the time go?!  It feels like just yesterday I was doing this little guys newborn photos.  Paxton’s first birthday party was held at the zoo, so his mom wanted to take his smash cake photos out there.  I absolutely love these!!  Too cute!!

I can’t believe this little darling is already a year old!  She is so precious!  I love when I get to see her; she just makes my day so much brighter.  I’m going to enjoy watching her grow up.  I love the cute face on the right — she kept making that all day!!  Can’t wait for you to see their Christmas card.  We’ll be posting all of them on the main page of the site right around Christmas.

JACKSON IS ONE!

Jackson is my sweet little munchkin!  And he’s the son of my dear friend, Ansley.  It has been such a joy watching him grow up the past couple of years!  (I’m a little late posting these to the site!)  He’s know a proud big brother, and we’re going to have to find some time to get some photos of his beautiful little sister.  But for now, enjoy the adorable personality of Jackson.  He was so excited eating his cake!

PAXTON IS BORN!

Paxton is the son of our interior designer.  Needless to say she had some wonderful ideas that she wanted to incorporate into his first session.  What better prop than a Barcelona chair too, right?  I adore the elephant photo!!  Too stinkin’ cute!  And I love that they incorporated their business into the photo of him with the plans for a house, and the ruler.  They also incorporated some Cajun pride too.  I just love these!  We’ll be meeting up soon for his next session.  I’ll add those here when we have more.

I love getting to take photos of sweet precious babies!  Ramona is such a cutie pie, and she’s actually already approaching her first birthday⁄!!  I can’t wait to add her 8 month photos here as well, and her mom and I are already brainstorming for something wonderful for her birthday photos.  Here’s a few to make you fall in love.  There will be more of this little one soon.

OH….MY….GOODNESS!!  Look at this handsome little fella!  I was so thrilled to finally get to meet him.  He is the son of a dear friend of mine from middle school, Amanda.  Amanda’s parents used to pick me up for church every Sunday before we were old enough to drive.  This family holds a place near and dear to my heart, so I was thrilled when Amanda asked if I’d have time while in Kentucky this month to take some photos of Jax.  I must tell you that when Amanda and her husband visited New Orleans a couple of years ago, they were actually inspired for his nickname from Jax Brewery — not necessarily the brewery part, but just felt that it encompassed Nola.  He’s actually Jasper, and a fifth generation Jasper at that, so his nickname easily became Jax.  Love it!  It’s amazing how much this little cutie looks like his father, and apparently he gets his pouty face from his mama — exhibit A — just look at the rocking chair image! I remember many a day seeing Amanda give her dad those puppy dog eyes!  Look out Amanda, as they say, we get back ten fold what we dished out to our parents!

Amanda also has an incredible blog that she started during her pregnancy that is amazing.  I just love looking at it — she has some very helpful things on it too — like pre-cooking before he tons of freezable meals before he came.  Definitely something for all my pregnant friends to consider.  Anyhow, I’m so glad I got to meet your little man, and I hope we can do this more often!

I am in love with this little cutie pie, and not just because she’s partially named after me!  She’s just an adorable little bundle of joy, and oh so smart!  I was visiting my family in Kentucky recently, and I was actually up there to photograph Anna’a aunt’s wedding.  While at the family home, I subconsciously noticed a wooden high chair full of character.  Apparently I’m thinking I must have had a dream about this high chair, because I woke up with what I thought would be the cutest photo idea.  I was going to visit my friend Samantha and Anna that day, and I called Sam to tell her of my plan.  We stopped and bought balloons, cake mix, and stopped at Sam’s mother-in-law’s house to borrow the high chair.  The high chair was Miss Veronica’s when she was a child!!  How neat that her granddaughter be photographed in it years later?!

Samantha and her husband recently purchased farm land out in the country, near Jason’s family’s land.  I think it’s neat that they all live so close, and this is the land where they plan to grow old together.  Anna recently turned one back in March, but it was right before our wedding, so there was no time for us to squeeze in the official one year old photos, so this was to make up for that.  I had this picture of Anna out in the middle of the field with her balloons, and cupcake in the old wooden high chair.  Add the cute pink flower and some wind to the mix, and you have a great recipe!  We didn’t have too much time out there though until it decided to rain on us!  I think we did alright we the amount of time we had though.  I’m just so in love with these photos, and so proud that I came up with the idea.  It feels like something you would find on Pinterest — I do plan to pin a few!

LOGAN’S FIRST YEAR

Logan is a handsome little doll.  He has changed so much in his first year, and he looks like a little man now!  I adore his 1 year old session.  And if his parents look at all familiar, they should!  They were one of my wedding clients a couple of years ago now.  Enjoy this little cutie pie’s photos!

 

 

OLIVIA IS TURNING ONE!

I absolutely LOVE getting to shoot photos for children that are turning one!! It’s a time when the parents are emotional because they’re baby that was just a baby yesterday is now learning to walk and talk, and the kiddos have such personality by this time too.  Olivia was absolutely no exception to the rule!  I’ve gotten to watch her grow up over the past year — we actually got to meet her on Day Two of her life — these little ones just grow sooooo fast!  She is the little girl of our good friends Melissa and Tom.  Melissa is the owner of Melissa’s Fine Pastries, so we have the wedding industry connection.  I also adored getting to take the photos of Olivia eating her birthday cake, that of course, mom made!  You could certainly tell that she’s the daughter of a pastry chef because it didn’t take her no time to get into that cake!!  It was absolutely priceless!  Looking forward to documenting many more milestones in Olivia’s life!
