It’s always a pleasure when we have a bride (and groom) that run the whole gamut with us…engagement session, bridals, etc. and wedding day! And at the end of that journey when it’s wrapped in a package that ends with tops hats, confetti, and kisses at midnight — it’s simply the icing on the cake! We always feel that we’re friends with our couples by the end of a wedding day, but when we’ve had this extra time with them, there’s an even closer bond. Samantha is a doll, and I adore her. She’s well organized, yet very practical. She’s beautiful, but it took a bit for me to convince her she’s a great model for the camera! But she caught on! 🙂 Wait until you see her bridals when we get those posted. Stunning! Let’s take a moment to mention the dress that’s staring me in the face as I type…..what?!?! Are you serious? Monique Lhuillier never disappoints — and this may be one of my favorites yet! Wow!! Simply perfection for a New Year’s Eve wedding too. Admittedly, I had to come back up to this paragraph as I reread what I had written because I got so distracted with Samantha’s dress. I can not leave out our dapper groom Nolan. He looked incredible too! I thought he looked a little James Bond-ish. His tux from Rome’s Tuxedo’s fit so perfectly! And the color — Navy — it looked amazing!
The day started with preparations at the Windsor Court Hotel. Everything went flawlessly, especially with Flawless Bride at the helm ensuring that everyone looked amazing. Shortly after, we braved the chilly temps and even cooler breeze for some romantic First Look portraits outdoors. After, it was time to head to St. John the Baptist. It was my first time there, and I found it to be breathtaking. It feels like an untouched piece of history, but still so alive. It was gorgeous. Once the ceremony wrapped, it was time to head on over to the New Year’s Eve party of the year at The Chicory! Guests enjoyed food, music, cake, and dancing throughout the night. There were very charming clocks on the tables so that everyone could keep an eye on the countdown to midnight. I adore the first kiss of the New Year from the bride and groom! Precious! Thank you for letting us spend New Year’s with you guys! I believe that we will truly be surrounded with great people all year, seeing as how that’s how we began 2016! 😉 Enjoy!
