I enjoy weddings steeped in tradition. Diana and Dudley had a full day that began in the morning with the Asian Wedding Tea Ceremony tradition at Diana’s parent’s home. Everyone was dressed in traditional clothing for this ceremony. I thought Diana looked amazing! And Dudley looked very official. The entire wedding party looked fabulous. I love the bright colors that are always incorporated as well.
After we left the tea ceremony, the bride and groom, and the wedding party met up back at the Vacarri House on St. Charles Avenue. Doug and I were in heaven from the moment we stepped into the house. It was gorgeous!! I could seriously, very easily, live there forever. It was incredible! And from a photographer’s viewpoint, it really was a slice of heaven. Light was pouring into every room. It was impeccably designed and the decor was to die for, a bit modern, yet cozy with the traditional touches. Everybody had a little while to regroup, eat lunch, and change for the main event.
From there we went to Audubon Park for more formal photos. I couldn’t be happier with that set of images. We found a patch of trees so that a nice fall orange color (surprisingly, it is New Orleans after all!) that was the perfect accent to the gold wedding dresses and the men’s navy suits and brown shoes. This wedding party looked sharp! I couldn’t get over how great they all looked! And with everyone together it was simply perfect! We already got some great photos of the bride and groom on the wedding day, and to think that we still get to do it again for a post-session!
We finally landed at The Four Columns for a beautiful ceremony, and a decked out reception. Again, these two have style, the reception decor was incredible! Very beautiful! The night started quickly, and the toasts were full of laughter as the couple moved throughout the tables greeting their family and friends. Thank you for allowing us to capture your day! Enjoy!
