New Orleans Museum of Art Wedding | Carly & Jeffrey

October 16, 2015

New Orleans Museum of Art was the final destination, preceded by First Presbyterian Church, Windsor Court, and Arnaud’s.  What do all of these locations have in common?  A recipe for a truly fabulous New Orleans wedding!  Mix all of that with coordinator Leslie Campbell of Leslie Campbell Weddings and you have a stellar wedding event!  Carly and Jeffrey’s wedding events were in full swing by early evening Friday night.  Their guests stepped off the buses shortly after we arrived to Arnaud’s French 75 Bar.  It was an intimate meet and greet as everyone bumped elbows and laughed and hugged, and greeted loved ones that they hadn’t seen in awhile.  After the cocktail hour the group was escorted into the cottage for dinner.  I always enjoy rehearsal dinners because we really get to know the couple and their families really well, especially when there are toasts involved.  This rehearsal was no different, I always find myself choking up behind the camera at the moving stories that always seem to be told at a wedding. I always feel blessed to witness and capture those memories.

I could tell this would be a very fun group.  I think they all stayed out until a decent hour Friday, but they were still ready to go on Saturday when we showed up.  Carly was super-relaxed and chill, ready for the day to officially start.  And Jeffrey was surrounded with his guys — he seemed a little nervous at the beginning of the day, but once things were in full swing he found his groove.  The ceremony at First Presbyterian Church was absolutely beautiful!  One of my favorite photos from the day was of them walking out the side aisle of the church.  After the ceremony the party continued at the New Orleans Museum of Art.

We were fortunate enough to have some time to create some beautiful photos with just the bride and groom in the Sculpture Garden once we arrived to City Park.  After that, the night went perfectly as planned.  Everyone enjoyed the food, friends, family, and the band.  The couple departed through a stream of silver poppers to their get away car.

Thank you very much for allowing us to be a part of your special day!!  Enjoy!
