Wedding number 2 for this season was actually a wedding delayed by 4 years due to Covid. They ended up having their wedding at home a couple of years ago but returned to their original venue this past weekend and got the photos they’ve always wanted. To make it even more special, Franks parents did their 50-year wedding vow renewal later that day at the chateau! Can’t wait to share a few of those as well. His parents are truly my marriage heroes and the moments between them that I captured shows why. Always a wonderful time at @chateauchallain in the Loire Valley!

What to say about this image...why do I like it? First, it's B&W which if you follow me closely, you know I absolutely adore B&W. Then I love the calmness of the moment, knowing it's the final quiet moment for this bride before walking down the aisle and all the beautiful chaos of a wedding ensues. From a compositional point, I love how the sloping angle of her veil goes almost perfectly in line with the hanging branches of the willow tree behind her. So there you have it from the photographer's perspective! ⁠
