Love on the Other Side of the Lens – Ring Shopping!

Doug and I had previously been ring shopping one or two other times and about three years before he finally decided the timing was right!  We were together for eight years before he asked me to marry him.  I am a very patient lady! 🙂  We realized after several years of being together, that to...

Love on the Other Side of the Lens – Introduction

With summertime in full swing (which means life slows down a bit for us) and the wedding blues beginning to creep in, Doug and I decided we wanted to begin a new blog series.  As many of you know, we were just married two months ago.  Because we’ve been wedding photographers for about ten years...

    • Hi Chey Anne & Doug, we are photographers getting married as well this November! I sent our photographer the link to your wedding photo’s (via Stacey Reeves) and said ‘THIS is the kind of coverage i want’. Looks like you guys had such a fun wedding, i would love to know – What advise would you give yourselves if you could go back and do it all again? Thanks so much and i’ll be very patiently waiting for the rest of the series!ReplyCancel

Thanks so much Bianca! And congratulations on it being your turn to get married!! It’s so exciting to know that people are paying attention to our Love Beyond the Lens series. I’ll have to get back on it. I have two posts drafted already, just need finishing touches — so should be more info coming soon. I’ve been pondering my answer to your question though since reading it. We had such a fabulous time for our entire wedding — and we didn’t really have any regrets or things we wanted to change. I’ve been racking my brain, but haven’t been able to come up with anything. I suppose that’s a good thing! haha! I do know that half way through the honeymoon we were ready to do it all over again!! Some advice we did give ourselves beforehand though was to pretend the date was a month before it really was. This was in an effort to get all of the last minute things finished before the week of the wedding. We did pretty well adhering to this advice, but even still, we had some last minute preparations the week of the wedding.ReplyCancel

My Grandmother – Before & After in City Park!

Arte by Doug Sometime last year while visiting with my grandmother, I noticed a stack of photo albums piled up in the corner. I enjoyed flipping through them and seeing the various places they lived as they were moved around while my grandfather was in the military, as well as seeing what New Orleans looked...

Best Day Ever — Doug Proposed!! :)

CheyAnne’s Version December 28th turned out to be one of the best day’s of my life, thus far!  (though I expect another one in 2012 to be even better!)  Doug had been running around like a crazy man while wrapping up last minute details for his brother Kevin’s welcome home party.  Kevin had just returned...
