Our part in this New Orleans wedding at Il Mercato, which was beautifully planned and designed by New Orleans wedding planner Blue Gardenia Events, started with a wedding in France! We’re so glad we had a chance to meet Taylor & Michael at a wedding we were photographing in Annecy, France, and that it resulted in us being a part of their wedding in New Orleans. We love weddings that are full of emotion and tight-knit friends and family, and those relationships were on full display for these two. There was a forecast for rain all day which were luckily able to avoid, and not once did the chance of rain damper Taylor or Michael’s spirits. Belinda’s team implemented the tent plan over the courtyard at Il Mercato so the formal sit-down dinner and amazing decor was still able to happen.
One of my favorite parts of their wedding has to be the champagne tower. If I could go back to my wedding and add one thing, that would be it. Their enthusiasm in pouring out all the bottles as fast as they could was intoxicating 🙂 and I love the resulting photos.
