The Chicory has always felt like a small slice of New Orleans to me. It has a rustic charm about it with it’s exposed brick, hardwood floors, exposed beams, gas lanterns, and old windows just to name a few. Then when you fill the space with a wonderful group of people and some lively music, the place comes alive! I feel like I’ve known Magali and Jonathan for awhile now. We first did their engagement photos early last year, and had a blast getting to know them. Then last November we got to meet Magali’s dress designer Nardos Imam at the Engage Luxury Wedding Summit that we attended. It was really fun to get to meet the designer for one of our brides! So it just felt that the anticipation for this wedding had been building for awhile. We were so excited for Magali and Jonathan to tie the knot at the Chicory. We know that New Orleans is very special to them, and they were looking forward to showing their families all the reasons why they love New Orleans they way they do. They had family traveling in from all over the place, and much of Magali’s family is actually from Liege, Belgium. I do hope that they all had a wonderful New Orleans experience. It seemed like everyone was having a great time!
Maggie and Jonathan, thank you for trusting us with your day! We’ve enjoyed every part of the process with y’all. It’s been a very fun journey, and we’re so excited for you guys! One of my favorite moments of the day was the way y’all looked at each other and cuddled into one another’s arms at the back of the aisle right after you were announced Mr. and Mrs. I’m humbled and blessed to witness and capture such genuine moments between couples.
